Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you serve?

We provide speech and language services for children 3 years and up. Services are individualized based on each child's developmental level, communication needs, and goals.

What is a speech and language screening?

A screening is a brief assessment designed to identify whether a child may be experiencing speech or language difficulties and whether a comprehensive evaluation may be recommended. A screening is not a diagnosis and does not replace a full evaluation.

What happens during a comprehensive evaluation?

A comprehensive speech-language evaluation involves gathering information about your child's development and concerns, assessing relevant speech and language skills, and interpreting the results in the context of your child's overall functioning. Following the evaluation, we discuss the findings and recommendations with you.

Do you work with schools or other providers?

When appropriate and with parent or guardian consent, we can collaborate with teachers, schools, and other professionals involved in a child's care to support consistency and carryover.

Do I need a referral and do you accept insurance?

A physician or other professional referral is not required to contact us.

We are a private-pay clinic. However, we can provide you with a superbill of services rendered to share with your insurance provider to see if they reimburse for out of network therapy services. We do not bill through insurance.

We proudly accept the Step-Up Scholarship in Florida.

What happens after I contact you?

We'll begin by learning more about your child and your concerns. Based on that conversation, we'll recommend the most appropriate next step, which may include a screening, comprehensive evaluation, or consultation.
