The Language Lab of SWFL was created to bring speech- language and literacy together under one roof and provide families with a more connected approach to intervention.

Our goal is to help children not only improve individual skills, but become more confident communicators, readers, writers, learners, and advocates for themselves.

At The Language Lab of SWFL, we believe that meaningful support can open doors to connection, learning, independence, and opportunity. Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based services that align with the unique strengths, needs, and goals of every individual.

We are dedicated to providing access to ethical, individualized support across all ages and cognitive abilities from early communication and literacy development to academic success and lifelong communication needs.

We are lucky to have the opportunity to partner with families, educators, and other clinicians to help every individual reach their fullest potential.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to be understood and feel supported as they participate fully in their world.

Siara Rose Richards, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist, Founder

I’m a Speech-Language Pathologist with a background in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Tampa, a post-baccalaureate in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida, and a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College. My clinical experience has primarily focused on pediatric populations across private practice, public schools, and special education settings.

I enjoy working with students across all grade levels and supporting a wide range of communication and learning needs.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Structured Literacy Certificate through The Atlanta Speech School, Rollins Center for Language & Literacy, Cox Campus

I founded The Language Lab of SWFL after recognizing a growing need in our community for accessible, specialized support.

Today’s students are navigating increasingly complex academic, social, and communication demands, and I believe they deserve access to the right support, in the environments where they need it most.

I love spending time with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Solo), rescue Husky (Lucy) and planning my next trip to a Disney Park!

A lab is a place for curiosity, discovery, experimentation, and growth.

At The Language Lab of SWFL, we want children to feel comfortable trying, making mistakes, asking questions, and discovering how they learn best. Our work is grounded in expertise and evidence, but the experience should still feel creative, engaging, and individualized.
